2. American Town Network: Claims to serve half of all U.S. communities with over 60,000 listed organizations, 3 million events, and 4 million pages of local content
3. Arbor Update: ArborUpdate.com is a volunteer run news and discussion site for the Ann Arbor community

13. Citizen Joe: Most of the volunteer columnists are not journalists; they are concerned citizens who, in addition to their full time jobs, pay close attention to policy debates and are committed to clarifying the issues for other Americans.

15. Citizen Shift - English Version: The National Film Board of Canada's web magazine that integrates written, audio and visual media and provides a space where filmmakers and citizens can share knowledge, be entertained and most importantly debate social issues.
